About us
I am an artist, athlete and mother. I commenced all things hair in 2012 and founded Alix Arthur Design in 2017. I am passionate about what I do, as it’s both creative and challenges me to enhance my expertise. The wonderful relationships and ability to brighten someone's day comprise the icing on the cake. My signature is a natural aesthetic, requiring the least maintenance possible. With semi-permanent smoothing treatments, infallible colour placement and precision cuts, you spend less time styling and enjoy long-lasting results. I LOVE getting that perfect colour and put the integrity of your hair first. With naturally curly hair myself, I have become a textured hair specialist. My Cezanne Smoothing certification has been a game changer. If you have frizzy hair woes, this treatment will be your antidote to rainy Vancouver. “Swim in the sea, live in the sunshine, drink the wild air." When all else fails, go get your hair done. Alex gave me a great cut. She understood right away what I wanted and she gave me exactly what I wanted. My hair is really difficult and I don't like having my hair fussed with but I walked out of the salon feeling gorgeous! Alex is also great company and good conversation, making a trip to the hairdresser fun.

Alix is a fabulous stylist, I have been seeing her for almost four years. She does a perfect cut and I have been able to try many new styles with her that I was afraid to try before. I always get compliments after seeing her. She is super good with men's cuts too, my husband always looks awesome after seeing her.
